About Aastralis

Music. Technology.
Expression.

I started creating electronic music back in the late 90s, when making music with a computer felt very different to the world we know today. My setup was simple: a computer, a MIDI keyboard, software and a determination to turn ideas into finished tracks.

Technology has moved a long way since then, but the part that matters to me has stayed the same. The music starts with an idea. I write and compose my own material, shape the melodies and arrangements, and write my own lyrics when a track calls for them.

Today I combine that approach with the latest digital production technology, virtual instruments, synthesis, effects and modern production tools. The technology gives me a much broader palette, but it is there to serve the music rather than replace the creative process.

From the first notes and words through arrangement, sound design, production and the finished track, Aastralis is about building music from the ground up.

This is my sound. This is Aastralis.

I Write & Compose

Every track begins with an original idea, developed through melody, harmony, rhythm and arrangement.

I Write Lyrics

Lyrics are written as part of the track itself and shaped around the emotion, story and character of the music.

Modern Production

Current digital production tools, virtual instruments and effects give each idea the space to become something bigger.

Quality & Detail

Arrangement, sound design and production are refined carefully so the finished track feels complete rather than assembled.

Late 90s

Where it started

Creating electronic music when computer-based production was still a very different world.

Original

Written from the ground up

Music, composition and lyrics developed as part of my own creative process.

Digital

Technology as a creative tool

Modern production technology expands what is possible without replacing the idea at the centre of the track.
